A Great Week

We all had a really nice week…and the wonderful weather definitely helped to make it even better. Monday afternoon I had both boys outside…Caleb was running around mowing and Sammy was sleeping in the Baby Bjorn. Tuesday, Caleb met 3 of his friends at the park. We spent about 2 hours there and he did a great job - he’s getting much more confident on the equipment, but he’s still fairly cautious – which, for me is a very good thing. After the park, we all went out for lunch to a fun little pizza joint. Caleb must have worked up a big appetite at the park because he ate 2 pieces of pizza and 2 desserts! We played outside again after naptime AND after dinner. The whole family took a nice walk after dinner so Justin was able to enjoy the warm weather too (in the 70s!). Sammy enjoyed the fresh air as well. :) Wednesday, Caleb had fun at gym class and then I had my first grocery store outing with both boys! It went perfectly, thanks to Caleb being an angel and making things easy on me while I had my hands full with Sammy. After the grocery store we went through the car wash, which Caleb is still talking about. Thursday we had playgroup at our house and as soon as everyone left, I put the boys in the car and we headed to Wisconsin (Justin had class this wknd). Caleb had a great time there…he showed off a lot for grandma as soon as we arrived, and was thrilled when grandpa came home from work. Aunt Amy also stopped over to see him Thursday and he couldn’t have been happier. Friday, he saw Calian and Brayden – he had been talking about them for the past few days. Before his nap, I told him that he needed to close his eyes and sleep and when he woke up, he’d see Calian & Brayden….well, the excitement got the best of him and he was in his crib talking about them for the next hour! He had a great time playing trains and reading books with them (or just following them around)…he really thinks they are pretty cool and loves being around them. Saturday morning, we all went to Brayden’s soccer game. He had fun watching Brayden and learned alittle more about indoor soccer. He watched his Uncle Dave coach the team to victory…and when he heard Dave yell, he would yell too…I guess he thought he was helping his Uncle. He was also very excited when his Uncle Casey showed up to the game. He decided to take gampa and Casey to another gym though and play alittle basketball instead (he has seen so much of it on TV lately, he thought he should start playing). Click on the pics to see Caleb playing. We left my parents house Saturday during naptime. The trip there and back was very painless…Sammy slept the whole time (both ways) and Caleb napped for most of it and the time that he was awake, he either looked at a book or listened and sang to his music.

Caleb was very happy to see his Dada Saturday night…he certainly didn’t put up a fight to have Justin read to him. He has been following him around all day today and this morning he told me that he dreamed about Mama, Dada and Sammy. I think he was happy to have his family back together (though he has already been asking me if he could go back to gama’s house…)
