He's DONE!!!
We should be celebrating tonight...popping open the champagne and toasting to Justin officially completing his MBA program BUT 1) I can't drink and 2) I'm not sure Justin wants to see alcohol for the next few days after a much deserved celebration w/ classmates last night! ha.
Although we aren't officially celebrating yet, I know a huge weight has been lifted from Justin's shoulders and we are all super proud of him for this accomplishment.
His final weekend at school was a long one though - - he was gone Thurday - today (Sunday). Fortunately my family came to my rescue and REALLY helped out w/ the boys and around the house for me. My mom came on Thursday afternoon and the boys were super excited to see her. They both talked non-stop (and at the same time) and had to play just about everything with her. They were alittle crazy/over-excited that day/night. Caleb was also excited b/c he got to share his bed w/ grandma and he thought it was cool to be able to sleep in the same bed as her. ha.
Grandpa came on Friday early afternoon...he was actually on his way home from a business trip and we were luckily on his way! The boys were very excited to see grandpa and he was immediately climbed on, handed trains and asked to dance. ha.
It was so nice to have the help....my dad shoveled snow, made a Lowe's trip w/ Caleb (which Caleb loved) to get salt for the sidewalks and lightbulbs for our kitchen - and then they picked out a nice poinsettia, which Caleb was excited to surprise me with. Grandpa also spent ALOT of time playing with the boys. My mom did some Christmas baking with me (and FOR me), helped with the laundry, the kitchen, and played alot with the boys ...we all did some Christmas shopping together and as usual, Sammy requested that she change the majority of his dirty diapers. It's like he thinks it's a priviledge to change his diapers and my mom is the lucky one. Ha.
Sammy kept telling my mom that he "really really wanted CiCi's Pizza", so on Saturday night, we headed out to CiCi's for pizza and the boys were very happy. Afterwards, we watched The Polar Express for movie night and Sammy set a record for the longest time sitting still and watching a movie/TV show...I think it was about 10 - 15 minutes. And he also didn't play at all during the movie (which was a 1st) - he went from one person to the next to snuggle (even to Caleb)! Actually, grandpa might not consider it all snuggling...I think he was also tackled half the time.
My parents left today right before the boys went down for their naps. It was great for me to have them around while Justin was away. We didn't want to see them leave, but they will be back to help out more and to celebrate Justin's graduation next weekend. Yippeeee!!
