More Summer Fun

Despite the fact that Justin has been gone all week, we have had another fun (and busy) week. It also felt good to get back into our routine of tennis & golf lessons - the boys missed those last week.

Sam enjoyed his first week of Safety Town (nationwide program for kids going into Kindergarten). And since the program here is run by the Service Club, I decided to get in some of my volunteering hours and I spent 3 mornings there with him. Fun! He is happy b/c he is doing the camp w/ a few friends...and Flinn even came home with us one day after camp.

On Wednesday - while Sam was at Safety Town, Izzy & Caleb went with me to a Senior Center to play "Price is Right" with about 25 adorable seniors! It was actually SO much fun....The kids ALL went with me to shop for the game and then during the game, I would describe the item, Caleb would hold it up and Izzy would happily deliver it to the winner (and my friend Cara wrote down the guesses). It was such a great experience for my kids and the people there absolutely LOVED having the kids around. Some were more entertained by them than the game. :)

Izzy has also been entertained this week by attending Tiny Tot camp and a YMCA Tinkerbelle dance party. She thinks she's pretty cool and SUCH a big girl.

Although Caleb didn't have much on HIS social calendar, he and I played alot of golf together in our yard. It was nice just spending time with him.

On Monday, Izzy started her swimming lessons!! She was SO excited to start and she told EVERYONE at the Sports Core that she was big enough for swimming lessons. She did GREAT for both of her lessons this week. And before and during her lessons, the boys swim as well. We all spent time at the beach as well as in the pool. Great swimming week!

And the swimming continued into the weekend as we went to my friend Dana's parents home on Friday afternoon. They have a *beautiful* home on a lake about 15 minutes from our place, and we were super excited about packing up for a fun sleepover. The weather was great and the kids had a blast swimming in the lake, jumping on a trampoline in the water and being pulled by the boat. My parents went over later in the afternoon and we all enjoyed a great dinner. The kids thought it was pretty cool that granny & grampy were at grandpa Dave's house. Super fun day.

And this morning, after the kids enjoyed doughnuts I gave them all a tennis lesson on their court (Caleb & Jack get awards for being such great students!)...and after the lesson, we got on our suits and headed back into the lake. My parents were back out (they are looking at cabin's on the same lake - yippee!!) so we were able to spend more time with Granny on her Birthday!! :) More lake time, more beautiful weather and more time spent with family and a wonderful childhood friend.

And the final news of the week....Caleb lost 2 teeth this weekend! Granny pulled them both (thank goodness...I just can't do it!). So much has happened since Justin has been home...and he might not even recognize toothless Caleb!
