Caleb Visits Aunt Teresa
Caleb got to see his Aunt Teresa for the 2nd time this past weekend. Teresa and her boyfriend, Chris, went to Indiana for a long weekend and Justin/Caleb and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to see her again and to finally meet Chris (who we all really like - even Caleb really liked him...was smiling at him all the time). They live in Houston, so we don't see them as often as we would like.
Justin took off work on Friday so we could miss the rush hour traffic and find a new route to make the trip as painless as possible (for both Caleb and me!). It worked....it *only* took 4.5 hours to get there and Caleb was relatively fuss-free. :) After we got there, he ran in the yard for awhile and tried swimming with dad, but wasn't happy to be in the pool for some reason (maybe he missed his friend Logan, who he usually swims with). ;) Teresa is a great cook and made us a very yummy mexican dinner that night and we all went to bed w/ full tummies.
We didn't do much on Saturday...just a relaxing/lazy day. Caleb took a good nap (and so did everyone else but me!) and played with trucks most of the day. He also had fun playing with rocks on his grandparents driveway -he liked piling them on his mower and pushing them around. I think that entertained him for about an hour. Saturday night, the Webb Family (aunts/uncles/cousins/etc) all met for dinner at a funny little restaurant about an hour from Justin's parents house. This was Chris's opportunity to meet alot of the Webb Family and for everyone to see Teresa again. Justin, Caleb and I didn't join them - - I'm sure it was a great time, but we didn't want to subject Caleb (or the pregnant mom w/ back pain) to more time in the car (I guess neither one of us is good at sitting still).
We left Sunday morning and Caleb was pretty good for the drive home. He played nicely when we got home and finally got a good night sleep, which made for a pleasant day today! :) He was very excited for his dada to come home from work today....after he ate dinner and played for awhile, he knew it was time for him to be home, so he walked around the house yelling "Dada" and was looking out the windows and pounding on the door. Dada came home with a new Thomas the Tank Engine toy for him, which was very exciting for Caleb. He didn't let go of the train until it was time for bed....I bet that's what he's dreaming about now. :)
