Caleb & Daddy's Special Morning Together
Yesterday, Caleb was the Star of the Day at preschool....When you are Star of the Day, you get to bring in a special person to spend the school day together, you bring a few favorite pictures to show your friends and a few favorite toys to share with your friends. So yesterday, Justin and Caleb were both VERY excited about being in school together. Justin wore his Dr. Seuss shirt (it was Dr. Seuss's birthday on Monday) and had the best morning he has had in awhile!! Ha! They both had a great time together...and Caleb had fun showing off his daddy. He also showed everyone pictures of him and Sam in the leaf pile w/ Calian and Brayden, feeding birds with grandpa, riding his Lightening McQueen bike, him & Sam in downtown Chicago, him with his fishtank..and then one when he was a baby. Justin said they talked about the pictures alot. He also brought his magnifiying glass (like Sid, the Science kid) and a Scooby Do toy.
After they spent the morning together at preschool, Caleb & daddy went out to lunch together. What a perfect morning for them!!
Sammy was very sad to see the two of them head off alone together, so I let him "swim" in my bathtub for about a half hour and then we had a picnic in the living room again. He thought that was pretty cool. We also played cars and puzzles together and he was such an angel!!
It is absolutely beautiful outside today...it's in the low 60s and not a cloud in the sky. The boys had a GREAT morning playing with our neighbors, Anthony & Isaac (see pics). They played baseball, soccer, rode bikes, used sidewalk chalk and dug for worms....Caleb was the only one who would actually pick up the worms and the 2 older boys screamed. Soon that screaming will come from Isabella...but as for today, she just slept and enjoyed the sunshine and fresh air.
