A Morning Conversation...

My Sweet Boy
Originally uploaded by Justin and Kelly Webb
This conversation took place this morning (6:20am) before my cup of coffee...me making pancakes, boys at the kitchen table:

Sam (to Caleb): Here Caleb, put this in your mouth.
Caleb: No
Me: (only thinking 'there is nothing on the table to eat")
Sam: Caleb, put this in your mouth - it's a boogie
Me:(eyes half open...again, only thinking "he did not just say that")
Caleb: (silence)
Sam: Caleb, eat this - it's my boogie
Caleb: (silence again...very rare...he's as shocked as me apparently)Me: Sam, you don't put boogies in your mouth.
Sam: But I did last night in my bed (he is excited about this)
Me: (laughing....couldn't help myself) Okay, but that's gross - we don't do that.
Sam: That's funny!
Me: No it's really not.
Sam. Well, then why are you laughing?
Me: I don't know...but please stop eating boogies.

Gross.

I seriously have last from the moment "Boogies" appeared in this post. OMG! And Caleb must have just stared at him like "this is not my brother..."

Tell Sam that Zach grabbed (Chris was just like "look Zach, a toad" and Z picked it up) and held a toad on our back porch last night and then was mad when the toad hopped out of his hands and went away under the grill. Those two are a pair.
