Happy Father's Day!!
The boys were pretty excited about Father's Day today. Caleb especially was excited to give Justin the presents he made. But before he opened presents (and while Justin slept) I made a big breakfast while the boys worked on their cards. Caleb seriously impressed me (and Justin) with how well he drew - he colored a picture of Justin...soooo cute (note to self: take picture of his card!). Sammy actually sat still and colored a "house" which later turned into "mom, I just want to color a bunch of circles for daddy"...but at least he sat for 5 minutes to do it.
Justin's presents: kabob skewers, a Bears fleece blanket, a birdhouse that Caleb painted blue & orange and 3 frames in the shape of the kids that each of them painted (well, Caleb painted Izzy's)....with a cute head-shot of each of them. The boys were REALLY excited about this gift - they worked hard on them and they think it's very cool that Justin is taking the frames to his work.
The day was pretty uneventful...a trip to Culvers and Blockbuster (we rented Ant Bully and had movie night tonight), alittle playing outdoors and the rest was spent packing. Justin did manage a few trips to the couch to watch the US Open (golf), but his rests were not as long as they should've been on Father's Day. But, having said that, we move in a week and you wouldn't know it if you walked into our house right now. I know, I have no business blogging right now.
Isabella enjoyed her 1st Father's Day...she got all dressed up for the big event. :) I think this was the 1st outfit ever purchased for her....my mom bought it. Adorable. Izzy must have known it was one of her nicer outfits b/c she managed to keep everything in the diaper today and managed to stay in that outfit ALL DAY!! Now THAT's a great Father's Day present....or more appropriately, a belated Birthday present for me!
