Final Days of Summer

We have had a blast during our "final days of summer" and I am actually so sad that school is starting tomorrow!! We have had such fun...and have done so much. Just this past week we have: 1)attended a big fundraiser for bookworm gardens - lots of fun with family and friends. 2) night out with friends ...cruising on lake michigan on an enormous sailboat. kids were happy about this b/c they stayed overnight at my parents cabin. everyone was happy. 3) justin and I enjoyed a day of golf with friends..golf tournament to benefit Make a Wish. Perfect day for golf...so fun. 4) Bummer of the week - Sam's surgery. Went well, and only slowed him down for one day. Okay, a half day. 5) Labor Day weekend...basically spent the entire 3 days at my parents cabin! It was great - we were able to spend time with friends AND family on the lake. And don't let the pics fool you...Caleb was oftentimes being pulled behind a boat or on the jetski - and he LOVES going fast and over big waves. Sam - believe it or not - is more cautious....he'd rather be IN the boat than in something behind it (but had lots of fun on the jetski w/ Casey). Izzy has no fear either..as you can see, she was loving the jetski, but also enjoyed time tubing. It's so fun having friends on the same lake as my parents cabin...great fun all around. It was hard driving back today. :( 6) Family fantasy football draft...pizza, hazing, and alot of smack talk. Football makes it *a little* easier to say good-bye to summer.
