My Tiny Dancer

December is such a crazy busy time with LOTS to see and do leading up to Christmas (oh yeah, and all the Birthdays), but one of my absolutely FAVORITE moments was seeing Izzy perform at her first dance recital. The only bad part of the show was that it was during the Bears/Packer game (dance instructor obviously not a football fan)...so the family audience consisted of me, Justin (who still watched the game on his phone during other performances) & my mom. Good news in all this: the boys were at my parents watching football w/ the rest of the family and I could truly focus on my adorable little ballerina. Sigh.

She seriously just melted my heart that day. She looked so stinking cute in her costume, and she was so excited to perform "Silver Bells". She loves the song and every time she would hear it over the holidays, she would drop what she was doing and practice her routine...whether she was at home or in the grocery store. It was so cute. ANYWAY - the day of the show, about 10 minutes before she went on stage, she got very nervous...despite the bears/packer game, the gym was FULL..and she thought people would laugh at her. I was actually worried that she wouldn't get up on stage, but she did ...and she was WONDERFUL. She immediately spotted Justin (who recorded the dance), gave him a HUGE smile and waved and then basically danced for him the whole time. I think she might have made him cry. :) She made us both so proud...I just LOVED IT. Can't wait for the spring recital.
