Caleb's Week
Caleb had a fun and busy week.
Monday, we went to the Children's Museum....it felt like we had the place to ourselves and Caleb had a great time. Tuesday, we went to the doctor to get his second flu shot, and they told us he didn't need it (not sure why they couldn't figure this out BEFORE we made the 20 minute trip there in the freezing weather)...but the good news was there was no shot, so I had a happy boy. Caleb and I ran errands on Wednesday, and Thursday we had playgroup. We also went out to eat on Thursday after my doctor's appointment and then drove around to look at Christmas lights.
This weekend, Caleb wanted Dada to join him at the Children's Museum and once again, there were very few kids there, so Caleb had alot of fun. It was nice to have Justin there w/ me (especially when it was time to leave...which is usually upsetting to Caleb). :)
Caleb likes learning about Christmas...he knows that Santa puts presents in his stocking and says "hohoho"...he knows not to touch the ornaments on the Christmas tree (and if he does, it means we turn off the lights on the tree). He says Christmas Tree, snowflake, stocking, and Rudolf (but pronounces it "mudoff). He also told me today that Santa was outside (one of our decorations) and that he is cold.
Caleb also likes to read outloud on his own now. Sometimes when I'm reading to him he'll say "Caleb read". I give him the book and he remembers lines on certain pages and is very proud that he tells some of the story on his own.
He is getting ready to be a big brother. My friend Renay gave me a baby doll so he can practice being gentle around the baby, though him being gentle has never been a problem...he's certainly not the aggressive type...let's hope this continues when the real baby is here.
