Happy Birthday Sam!
Sam celebrated his 2nd Birthday on Sunday. He had a nice day, despite the fact that it was too cold for us to go anywhere or play outside in the snow.
Grandma & Grandpa were there to celebrate with us (thank God...I went to hospital the night before, thinking we were going to have a baby). On our way home from the hospital early Sunday morning, Justin and I stopped to get Birthday doughnuts, so Sam's day started off well. He spent the day playing with Grandma & Grandpa. He requested quesadillas for dinner, so we went with mexican food that night. Justin did a great job on Sam's cake - Frosty, which Sammy loves. He actually picked Frosty to watch for Movie night the night before (and sat for about 10 minutes to watch it - ha). After dinner, we enjoyed the cake and Sam had fun opening presents. He shared his new toys nicely with Caleb and they both had fun playing before bath and bed.
Overall - a very nice relaxing birthday at home with family, but not terribly exciting. Sam seems to have fun no matter what though...especially when he has his grandparents, quesadillas and birthday cake. :)
Grandma took Sam to his 2 year check today (since I was alittle busy- ha) and the doctor was extremely impressed with his verbal skills and then recalled that his brother was very verbal as well - ha. And of course we knew we didn't have to worry about his physical abilities either! The doctor also had Sam measured twice b/c he couldn't believe how much he had grown. He is now average on weight and height (was 20% before). My talkative, constantly moving, growing boy....no longer my baby anymore.
