My Silly Sam

Bathtime Fun

Anyway - he has been very funny lately. Many of you know that Sammy is very opinionated when it comes to what he wears. He is obsessed with jeans (and even has a favorite pair - his Chaps ones...expensive taste..comes by that naturally). He throws a fit when his jeans are dirty and will go as far as to dig through his dirty clothes hamper to find a pair to wear. On top he either wants to wear Thomas, Packer jerseys ("to be like grandpa & Amy"), a shirt with a soccer ball or football or a hooded sweatshirt (and he'll wear the hood all day). And believe it or not, he is picky about which SOCKS he wears. And naturally, he also has an opinion on the pair of shoes he wears as well....he changes shoes a few times a day. It's crazy. This has all been going on for awhile - but NOW he thinks he needs to pick out clothes for Caleb. The other day, I told him to go get his clothes and bring them downstairs. Not only did he bring his outfit down, he brought an outfit for Caleb as well. It's so funny. Oh - and he is also a "diaper snob"...prefers the expensive Pampers to other brands (I know this b/c he will say he doesn't like other ones...he wants the ones with Elmo...and it's not b/c Elmo is on them b/c he couldn't care less about Elmo!!). The kid knows quality. ha.

You also need to be on your best behavior around him b/c he WILL correct you if you 1) cough without covering your mouth 2) forget to say "thank you" or 3) "hurt his feelings" (ha)....he gets this from his older brother, who will also scold you for interrupting, not saying "bless you" (this may possibly be his biggest pet peeve...one of mine too), and not saying 'your welcome' (hahaha - I'm reminded to say this daily). I'm glad they understand good manners (and usually follow their own rules), but they do go alittle far and it can be embarassing to be around them when they correct people - especially if they are strangers!

We all know Sam is alittle toughie. Lately, when I hear a "crash" in another room, the next thing I hear is him saying "DAAAOOOOOOO" (like Bart Simpson) he pauses and then he yells "I'm okay, Mommy!!"

And as the picture shows, he enjoys shocking himself with cold water in the bathtub (Caleb does this too) - - I know, it's crazy, but Justin and my mom will confirm that this is true b/c they also give them baths and they do this EVERY bath!!

And although he is tough, crazy and "alittle" bit naughty, he does have a very sweet and sensitive side. If someone is lying down, he'll ask if they are okay. When he hears Caleb or Isabella cry (and he's not the cause - ha) he asks them, in a very sweet voice if they are okay and says "don't cry". And he was very concerned when he saw grandma and daddy on the ladder painting...telling them both to be careful.

But, as I type this he is walking around with a plastic golf club, destroying towers Caleb is building. Time to referee.
